Permission Requests

• Internet/Network State/WiFi State:
  This permission is required to display ads in the app and to check the network state for proper functionality.

• android.permission.SET_ALARM:
  This allows the app to set an alarm to remind you to create or update a diary entry.

• android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE:
  Allows access to image and media files from your device for journaling and adding multimedia to your entries.

• android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE:
  Enables saving of diary content and media files to your device’s storage.

• android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO:
  Allows the app to record audio, enabling you to create diary entries via voice recordings.

• android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_MEDIA_AUDIO:
  These permissions are used to access media files such as images, videos, and audio for journaling purposes.

• android.permission.VIBRATE:
  Enables vibration for notifications or alerts within the app.

• android.permission.USE_BIOMETRIC / android.permission.USE_FINGERPRINT:
  These permissions allow the app to use your device’s biometric authentication (fingerprint or facial recognition) to secure your diary.

• android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED:
  Ensures the app can run certain tasks (e.g., setting reminders) when your device restarts.

• android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE:
  This permission is necessary for running tasks like notifications or alarms while the app is in the background.

• android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC:
  This permission is required for backup and restore functionality. Backups are stored in the user’s Google Drive account, and restoration will only happen from that same account. We do not collect or store any user data.

• android.permission.WAKE_LOCK:
  Keeps the device awake to ensure the app can function without interruption during important tasks.

• android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS:
  Allows the app to send notifications, such as diary reminders or updates.

• android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM:
  Used for scheduling precise alarms and reminders for important diary entries.

• android.permission.GET_ACCOUNTS:
  Enables the app to use the account authenticator capabilities of the AccountManager, such as accessing and managing Google accounts.

• android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS:
  Allows the app to manage audio settings for voice recording and playback.

• android.permission.USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT:
  Ensures notifications like reminders can appear in full-screen mode when required.

Third Party Access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid us in improving the Application. We may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. This information does not include data from your journal.

Children

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary actions.
